Olesya (name changed) is 45, she is from Belgorod oblast. My husband is also 45, when he arrived in his country (Ukraine), he went to the military registration office, got registered, but because of martial law, all registries are closed, and without a residence registration they cannot mobilize. Since he is of draft age, he cannot leave to visit his wife and son, even to see them. Since August he has been working in IT and helps them.

Good afternoon!!!

I sincerely wish your project to develop and expand, sometimes just the thought that you are not alone, helps to keep the peace of mind and hope that one day everything will change...

Initially I wanted to share a story with happy end-others, but I can't yet... In a nutshell, my husband is Ukrainian, I am Russian with Ukrainian roots (my aunt, uncle, cousins now live in Ukraine). Married for over 14 years, we lived in Russia, built a house, worked, raised two children... And then came 24.02...

There can be no justification for invading the territory of another independent state... My parents are for Putin, propaganda has done its job... In the beginning I talked, tried to reach out that war is terrible for both sides, but the "tumbler" is closed on one thing: "If the president has done so, then it is necessary. There is no complete information. It's not clear."

We made a decision with my husband: to leave, urgently, we collected money for his departure and for the first time of his stay in Ukraine (until he finds a job). I had to send him our dog through carriers (also a family member - you can't leave him), then sell the car, put the house on the market and with the youngest child (12 years) to go to him.

My elder daughter is studying at university, and we decided that after she got her diploma she would come to us. In June he left, and since 01.07 Ukraine introduced visas for Russians... It is impossible to apply for a visa to Ukraine from Russia - all consular centers are closed, the embassy does not work. We found an option to submit documents through a third country with a residence permit in this country.

As a result, I and my son are in Moldova, I have a residence permit, I applied for a visa and was denied... I appealed, also denied...My husband is in Ukraine, my daughter is in Russia, I and my son in Moldova... I have not seen each other for over 10 months and we do not know when I will get it ... I am not going back to Russia - the current government and laws threaten me with fines (at best)...

I communicate with my relatives in Russia and Ukraine... With those who stayed in Russia, the topic of war is taboo... As if that would stop people from dying ... But it is easier, right? To close your eyes or turn away from terrible, irreparable crimes that are committed on behalf of the state, YOUR state... It is easier to say "I did not know" than to carry this moral burden of realizing that you have fascism in your country...
